Children’s Church for children in grades Kindergarten to 3rd grade now meets at 10:00AM and 11:30AM in our “Club 252” Children’s Worship Center, located in the rear of our old sanctuary. Preschool-aged children (3 & 4) meet in the Preschool room in the education building. During this time, children will participate in a time of praise where they will sing, dance and have a fun time just praising the Lord! Children learn that worship is a time where we connect with and learn about God through singing, praying and giving offerings. They will learn the Bible through puppets and story telling.
We welcome all children and families to our church and ministries. If your child has special needs, please contact me at the church office to set up an appointment to discuss how we can make our Children’s Ministries more comfortable for them. Contact Trish Graves, 225-664-4801.
Our AWANA group meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. AWANA is an acronym for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed," which is taken from II Timothy 3:15, “Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman who is not ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.” AWANA is an achievement-oriented, achievement recognized and rewarded club that encourages, supports and teaches scripture memorization to children. Children will receive awards that they will wear on their uniforms as they progress. We offer AWANA Classes to children age 3 years to 5th grade. During club time, children will learn the Word of God and hide it in their hearts. They will also have a great time playing games and competing in contests each month that are wacky and fun.
